Watched Phantom of the Opera(2004) this evening with Evon!

Many people mistook the musical as the "original" version of Phantom of the Opera, in fact, Phantom of the Opera has been screened way back 1925. It's in black and white, some tinting or toning I guess. Back then there are no speech audio or sound effects, only orchestra music to fill the atmosphere.

Also the 1925 Erik, the phantom, was much scarier and uglier than the one in 2004. He did not only need to cover half of his face like the 2004 phantom, but he had to cover 3/4 of his face! Plus, oh boy, he didnt even have the figure, unlike the 2004 phantom who had a ok build and sexy chest hair.

Instead of an inspector who brings Raoul into the deep dungeon of the Phantom, an old lady -- Madame Giry who hid the Phantom from dark heart human beings since young, lead Raoul into the dangerous, dark dungeon. I wonder why there is little emphasis on the "hands at eye level" as compared to 1925. Which version is accurate?

Lots of question to ask, guess i got to either research or read the novel!
