Chinese or Cheenah

Talking to Pauline makes me realise that my Chinese is deteriorating very subtly and slowly. I'm beginning to lose the "4-word-4-word" thing called "chen yu". Don't know what vocabulary to use at certain times, cannot pronouce "ou er". (She had to correct me 8times) Had to disrupt her halfway and ask the meaning of the words she used. Plus, my mum bought "you zhou kan". I picked it up to read, i can read certain words but the sentence doesnt make any sense to me at times. Yikes man, I need to get workin on my chinese. Pauline will have to teach me chen yus. -okok?-

This reminds me of --- the terror, people who look, sound and talk like a chinese yet tries to escape from it. Not that they cant read or they can speak. They'll just go "oh i don't speak chinese" or "Can you speak/write in English"? Don't get me wrong, i'm not talking about chinese who are born in America or English educated families that hardly pop a chinese word. I'm talking about those who understands and speaks well enough but tries to act like "Ay sorry my Chinese veli poor, i dunno why hor my English is better". Sure dude. I can see why. Why escape from your culture? or try to be something else? We may not be strong in the language and we maybe particularly poor but hey i dont think being chinese is disgraceful. What makes it disgraceful is not being able to speak your language. (Oops, I cant speak hakka! Hey I'm learning lol)

Guilty, check out your skin and hair colour, can't escape no matter how much you deny.

Just an opinion ;)

The above was written sometime after spectating the terror.
