The harsh reality - Shorter holidays!

Yikes!
Yea, holiday is the time where we wait for or drool for when we are busy buried in our studies. However when the holiday's getting abit too long and bored, we'll usually cry for school term to start soon so that we can get to work and not rot of boredom.

This time! We have a shorter holiday! If I'm not wrong we'll have to get back to work on Dec 6. Yikes! We'll have to spend the Christmas season in school? Cant imagine a bunch of us, each holding a candle in canteen 1 singing "Silent night.. Holy night.." (-_-)

Yeah, I love Christmas. It's like the season of love! I realised that people always get attached or break up durin this season of time. ( Or isit just the people around me ). Christmas has that cool, lonely white yet lovely mood all around. Romantic might be the word, but it cant describe it all.

Don't forget the real meaning of Christmas! It's not just all about getting in love and waiting for Mr Santa to climb down your chimney when you live in a HDB flat. Perhaps not even drooling over that Mango tee you've been eyeing all along, that is currently on Christmas discount. It's the day when Jesus Christ is born! That's the real meaning of Christmas. This year my Christmas is different. What about yours?

Talking about Mr Santa, I remember the reality i had to face when I was 8 years old.
I was hugging my big sock and waiting to hang it. Still wondering how did Santa manage to grab hold of my key doors or climb through the window, I happily hung my sock.

Me: 'dad, what if the present is too big for my sock'

Dad to mum: 'Ay Darling, I think we should tell her the truth'.

Me: (standin there in look at my dad with the most innocent eyes ever)

Dad: 'There's is no Santa Clause, it is us who always leaves the present in ya sock'.

Me: (lookin shocked and devasted)

That's it! This is too harsh for a 8 year old me to take. Yea i did what the kiddos usually do, cry before i sleep because there is no Santa.

Oops. Talking about Christmas and holidays too soon.
